Lesson of Forgiveness

When I was young, I was rash, snobbish and narrow-minded. As a result, a series of misgivings happened in my younger days. So you know, one day something big happened. While I was motoring down a slope, I believed and acted like the world belonged to me, not knowing there was a young cyclist in front in peddling hard to go up the slope. I swerved with my might but somehow, my bike just collided with that young cyclist. In the end, he was hospitalised for more than 4 months. While I was reckless, I was still a kind-hearted man deep inside.

I thought that young man was going to hate me for life. Miraculously, we built up a friendship that lasted till today. He forgave me when i visited him in the hospital. That great act opened my spiritual sense up.

Yes, I learn of this universal law of forgiveness lectured by Marie Callas first hand. To forgive is to break the bond of hate, intolerance, anger, criticism; emotions that can inhabit our hearts and rot our soul. To not forgive is to harbour negative vibrations that bond you to another human being in the most destructive manner possible.

The Law of Forgiveness is working in your life everyday and it is a universal principle that has existed long before. Marie says the law of forgiveness is a teaching mechanism which helps you to take back the power you may have squandered on ill will toward others. When you practice forgiveness, you find that others begin to treat you differently. People begin to open up and share their warmth with you. Some will appreciate you to such a degree that they will open themselves to you and give whatever they can to aid you.

This is the universe working in harmony after forgiveness has cleared the way for peace.
